The company provides a service which enables users to check whether their personal emails and/or other credentials or personal information (or other emails issued and managed under a domain name owned by them (“Domain Owners”)) were leaked to the internet following a data breach.
This Policy for Data Donation (“Policy”) describes the terms and conditions that are applicable to the submission of data bases or any other content (“Content”) that you provide to us. This Policy applies to any web site on which this Policy may be posted including, without limitation, to our website located at: www.breachreport.com (“Web Site”).
BY SUBMITTING CONTENT TO THIS WEB SITE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THIS (“DATA DONATION”) POLICY APPLIES TO YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH ANY WEB SITE AND THAT GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION HAS BEEN PROVIDED TO YOU. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY, DO NOT SUBMIT CONTENT TO THIS WEB SITE OR OTHERWISE ACCESS ANY SERVICES ON THIS WEB SITE.
Please note that the construction (“development”) of our data bases repository is an ongoing process and we do our best to increase (“expand”) it so our users can enjoy an effective service. If you have or know of a data source that we should include here, please let us know. We are always interested in data donations (”and data processing”).
The best way to donate a database is to fill out our online data form (link it to the online form on the website) which will allow you to send us a link to the data base or to directly upload it into our repository, as applicable. Alternatively, a donation of a database may be made by doing an anonymous ftp of donated files to our incoming directory. For instructions, please contact [email protected].
After FTPing your files, please send an email to [email protected] You may also send us the data as an email attachment if the database is small enough (we do not provide any representations as to the maximum size of database which can be sent through email), or you may point us to a place on the web that contains the data that you are donating.
We are not responsible and expressly disclaim all liability for the content of any contribution submitted by you to us (including without limitations, through the Web Site). Without limiting the foregoing, we will not be held liable for Content that may infringe a third party’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right or any privacy rights whatsoever. Please ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to make this data publicly available (in case the database is not already publicly available).
You agree that you are fully responsible for any Content that you submit to the Web Site. Without limiting the foregoing, we reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor all submissions and exercise editorial control over all such submissions, including without limitation the right to edit, take down or remove any Content. Anything to the contrary above notwithstanding, we are not responsible for any failure to monitor, review, edit and/or delete any Content submitted to the Web Site by you.
All Content is deemed to be provided to us on a non-confidential basis. You understand and agree that we may publish any contribution you make in its entirety, as an edited version, or not at all, in (‘to’) our sole discretion. We may remove, alter, or otherwise edit Content that we deem inappropriate for any reason, in our sole discretion.
Content submitted by you must not contain content that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, sexually explicit, obscene, abusive, violative of any third party’s privacy rights, and/or contains unconsented personal information of third parties such as telephone numbers, street addresses, or email addresses. Any Content submitted to or uploaded through the Web Site will become our property. We have no obligation to retain any Content sent to us. While we may use the Content, we also have the right to erase, delete, throw away, dispose of or destroy any Content sent to us in any format without notice.
